FAQ

The most common questions from everyday Reguly use — collected across areas. Area-specific FAQs are at the end of every detail page.

Getting started

How long does onboarding take?
When you have master data and a supplier ready, you can generate your first DOCs within 30–60 minutes. Full compliance maturity (all supplier data, all DOCs) is reached on average in 2–4 weeks.
Do I need PPWR background knowledge?
No. Reguly explains every step in context. To look up jargon, the glossary or knowledge base helps.
Can I test Reguly before buying?
Yes, we offer a 14-day free trial of the Standard plan — no credit card. Write to us via the contact form.

Data & security

Where is my data stored?
On servers in the EU (Frankfurt). Reguly is GDPR-compliant and works without tracking cookies that would build a user profile.
Who can see my data?
Only members of your own team. Reguly staff have no standard access; in support cases a staff member can temporarily get 'Developer' rights with your consent — all logged in the audit log.
Is data encrypted?
Yes: in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Compliance documents in the vault additionally live in an isolated storage bucket per tenant.
How does data export work?
In the account area you can request a full export as JSON or PDF any time. Processing typically under 60 minutes.

PPWR & DOC

Am I subject to PPWR if I only sell online?
Yes. Pure online shops using packaging for shipping fall under PPWR too. The duty depends on whether you place packaging on the German market — sales, shipping or service packaging alike.
Is the DOC from the generator a legally valid proof?
Yes, provided every required field is correctly maintained and you file it in the vault. Reguly helps with structure — responsibility lies with you or the signing person.
What if a supplier refuses to provide recyclate data?
Reguly documents the request. When the supplier does not respond, the gap lies with the supplier — you can use an industry estimate from the data pool as a placeholder and note it in the DOC.

DPP & marketing

Do I already need a DPP today?
Not yet mandatory (as of 2026). Pioneers start voluntarily because the duty applies from 2027 for many industries — and a DPP has strong marketing impact.
Can my consumers really scan the DPP QR code?
Yes — modern iPhones and Android devices recognise QR codes natively in the camera app. Reguly uses GS1 Digital Link, which authority scanners also understand.
How do I prevent competitors from copying my DPP data?
Mandatory data is public (otherwise a DPP makes no sense). Optional data (e.g. internal supplier details) can be set to 'internal' — competitors do not see it.

Plans & billing

How much does Reguly cost?
The Standard plan starts at €49/month. Pro plan (with analytics, more members) at €149/month. Enterprise on request. Current prices on the pricing page.
Can I pay monthly or yearly?
Both are possible. With yearly billing you save 2 months (≈ 17% discount).
How do I cancel?
In the billing area click 'Cancel'. The plan ends at the next billing date. Data is kept 30 days as a recovery buffer.
