on volume reporting.
LUCID is the packaging register of the German Central Agency Packaging Register (ZSVR). Producers register there free of charge before making packaging available in Germany.
Producers enrol their packaging subject to system participation with a dual system and report the same volumes to the ZSVR (Section 9 VerpackDG).
No, the producer registers and submits data reports itself (Section 5(1) VerpackDG). You receive the report file ready as XML for LUCID.
Without registration you may not make packaging available in Germany, and retailers may not sell your goods. Infringements can lead to fines of up to €100,000.
